White Coolio on meth gets into shootout with cops, hides in the woods, gets arrested

LEE COUNTY, Fla – Two Florida Men were arrested on Tuesday after getting into a shootout with police in south Fort Myers.

Lee County deputies responded to a home invasion at a residence in San Carlos Park late Tuesday. When deputies arrived, the two suspects took off in a van.

The Florida Men drove out of the neighborhood, speeding along busy streets before losing control and slamming their vehicle into a ditch.

That’s when the shooting started.

The two Florida Men, identified as 17-year-old Travis Rains and 22-year-old Jordan Gurke, shot off multiple rounds, hitting a Lee County Deputies patrol car at least six times.

No deputies were injured during the shootout.

The two Florida Men ran from the scene and tried to hide in the woods, but with the help of the Lee County K-9 and aviation units, deputies located the men and took them into custody.

According to NBC 2 News, “Travis Rains is facing three counts of attempted murder of a police officer, resisting arrest without violence and battery on a K-9. Jordan Gurke is facing three counts of attempted murder of a police officer, resisting arrest without violence and fleeing with lights and sirens activated.”
